He manages the Ideas and Opinion section, writing and editing editorials and overseeing commentary. Hall has worked at the Union-Tribune since 2001 and serves as president-elect of the Society of Professional Journalists. She’s married to a fellow journalist, and is a ballet and theater mom to two daughters. She returned to the U-T in 2019 to join the PACIFIC team. While at the station, she also worked as an arts producer, appeared on radio and TV and assisted with podcast development. In 2015, she left the U-T to help launch an online calendar and arts-focused newsletter at KPBS. She began her career at the Union-Tribune over 20 years ago, working as an arts, features and lifestyle reporter. She is a bilingual, San Diego native who was raised along the border in both Chula Vista and Tijuana.
